Changing reason for extension stay?
My aunt applied for a visa extension because she was consulting with a doctor about treatment for her severe osteoporosis. USCIS has mailed a letter requesting evidence of her condition and evidence of how she will be paying for the surgery. She cannot afford the actual surgery and has decided to take the information and recommendations of the doctor she was seeing back home with her (even though the treatment will be inferior). In the meantime, she would like to stay to visit a while longer with the family since she won't be able to travel for a long while once she goes home. Has anyone had experience with changing reasons for stay? Any useful suggestions?
