Hi
My lawyer filed my I-140 and I-485 applications EAD/AP renewal. My I-140 is approved 4-5 months back and now I wan to change my lawyer. How do I make sure that all the letters for example communication about RFE or approval notice from USCIS will be delivered to my new lawyer or me?
I really appreciate your help
Thank you

Dear jaibhawani,
I changed lawyers last year. The lawyer I had before what appointed by the company I was working for when I filed my I-140 and I-485 applications. I changed jobs and my new company thought it would be better for me to transfer my case to their own lawyer office. I remember at the time signing papers allowing my previous lawyer to tranfer my file to my new lawyer, a written withdrawal of my lawyer of record (first lawyer) and a notification of the new lawyer. As my new lawyer files new applications (EAD, advance parole) on my behalf, I have to sign a consenting notice of entry of appearance as attorney (form G-28) for my new lawyer. Trust your new lawyer,
(s)he'll do what's necessary. You shouldn't have any problems getting notices from the INS. No need to worry. :)
