My 6 years on H1B end in November 2003. My GC is still in labor processing. I learnt that there is a new legislation which gives additional 1 year of H1B if your labor is in process for at least 1 year.
My question is, if I change jobs now and my old employer agrees to continue GC processing , will the new employer be able to file for H1 beyond 6 years? If so, what adjustments need to be made to the papers.
