Changing jobs while GC being processed

Hi all,
My wife who is a USC is sponsoring my GC. Since her income is not enough, I am including my income (from my current job) in I-864 to meet the minimum household income. But I have a potential job offer and might change my current job.
Can I change my job after we submit GC application ( given that my income included on I 864)?

I-864 instructions say something about my income continuing from same source after I get my GC if I (intending immigrant) help meet the household income needs.

Please advise. Thanks

Yes you can change jobs. But you'll need to provide a new I-864 and proof of employment at the interview.

1. New 864 form
2. Paystubs from your new job
3. Tax returns for last few years
4. Letter from new employer stating position, salary, start date, etc.

The job change isn't as important to USCIS, as long as you meet the income requirements. Just make sure you bring plenty of documentation.
