Changing jobs after obtaining GC thru CP

Hello,

I have got the GC approval thru Consular Processing. I'll be getting my Temp. GC at the POE while entering the US and the perm. GC card will be mailed to me within 2-3 weeks.

How advisable is it to work for a different employer after entering into the US. My employer who sponsored my GC (via Consular Processing) does not have a job for me and I have to enter the US within 6 months of getting the GC approval.

Will this cause any immediate or future problems to my GC status if I don't work for the employer (at all) who sponsored my GC (via Consular Processing), after entering into the US.

Any feedbacks appreciated.

Thanks,
KD.

The best way to make sure that an employee after receiving the gc WORKS for that employer is checking the paychecks atleast nominal ones if not for the SPECIFIC amount pay that was OFFERED on the ETA 750 a&b. As BCIS is NOT doing that it is only employers requirement to keep up that word of hiring the employee that job offer. If he can not do that for some reasons like downturn in the economy , or as he was able to find more CHEAPER labor and so on to keep the company financially floating and NOT go the lucent/nortel/united way it is okay with the prevalant circumstances.

In that case the employer will also be in DEEP trouble for NOT honoring the JOB offer made during the gc process.

Unless and untill some one answers the ISSUE of BCIS VERYFYING the PAY STUBS FOR ATLEAST THE AMOUNT CLAIMED ON THE ETA 750 A&B AFTER THE APPROVAL OF THE GC there is no point calling me names .

I'am trying to be polite I can call NAMES some guys on this forum not a big deal.
