I want to move jobs with a different profile.
Currently i am doing a job as Technical consultant Installing and customizing our company software. I am looking to join another company as an Oracle DBA.
Its been over 1yr and 6 months since I filed my I-485. Is it worth the change?
I have been drawing a below par salary for past 3 yrs and am extremely frustrated which is prompting me to make the move

Frustration and drawing below par salary is not covered under immigration law, unfortunately.
Search the forums for AC-21, portability, "similar job", AC-21 memos, possible RFE during the I-485 stage, informing USCIS (using Ac-21) or not, Labor Certificate (LC) requirements, etc. OR just change job and keep the hope that you receive no RFE, as it looks your new job is not "similar" at all. have you ever read your LC submitted on your behalf by your company? need to do that. If company and lawyer do not give it to you, use FOIA (freedom of information act). So before you make the move and according to the law, you need to satisfy the two conditions:
1: I-140 approved and 180 days passed from I-485 RD and
2: Similar job under the LC.
