I have a related question.
I have my GC going through a Company.
They have filed my Perm and I-140 is pending.
I am in my 7th year of H1.If my I-140 gets cleared,I will get a 3 year H1.
Is it possible to do a H1 transfer to another Company using that H1??
Since I will have 3 years in H1,if new Company is ready to file GC,then that option is open to consider??
Any expert opinions?

thx

nope.nothing yet. I have a feeling it should be possible.
H1 is a H1.As long as it is valid, one should be able to transfer it.
But just wanted to double check,in 7th year,8th year type situations.

------------- you will get 3 years Ext if I-140 approved and unable to file I-485 due to PD

-------------yes

------------no body knows how the PD is going to move in future older the PD less time to get GC
Any expert opinions?

Thanks Ginnu for the reply.
I should be able to port my current PD,once the current I-140 gets approved.
A related question here.
I have one labor pending in BEC with old employer which has better PD.
Once that gets approved, say I somehow convince the old Employer to file I-140.Once that gets approved,2 questions:-
1. Since I have 2 I-140s,one with recent PD and one with older PD,is it possible to use the I-140 with earlier PD while filing I-485 through current Company, since my current Company already has filed I-140 and might be approved(In other words, can PD be ported only during I-140 application or later on also)??
2.If I do a H1 transfer, then I can use the older PD I-140 while filing new I-140 by new Employer, although I do have one more I-140 approved from current Employer??

---------------Yes, you will file I-485 with I-140 that has early PD, I-485 is filed by YOU not by company
,since my current Company already has filed I-140 and might be approved(In other words,
can PD be ported only during I-140 application or later on also)??
----------better to port when file second I-140 and one can port when filing I-485(you will need a good lawyer to do it)
2.If I do a H1 transfer,
--H1 has nothing to do with I-140 of A or B
then I can use the older PD I-140 while filing new I-140 by new Employer
-----Yes
,although I do have one more I-140 approved from current Employer??
question is not clear. one should write all details of past and present and what one wish to do. without details one cant guess your present situation

Employer A filed LC date
Employer A LC approved...(PD, EB2 or EB3?)
Employer A I-140 filed or approved date

Employer B filed LC date
Employer B LC approved or pending (PD EB2 or EB3)
Employer B I-140 filed or approved date
Present status.... working with A or B
country of birth.

Thanks Ginnu for your prompt reply.Appreciate that.
Good suggestion on the format. Will use that for future questions.

Thanks
