- Permanent Resident, undergoing naturalization (N-400 filed 5/11/10)
- Married
- 2 boys (both born in the US), now in India with my wife
My Wife's status...
- Came to the US on F1 in 2006, maintained F1 status (full time student) through 6/9/10, when had to leave for India (death in the family)
- I-130 Approved in January 2010, based upon my LPR status (was filed in 2009)
My questions...
- What's the process for converting my wife's processing from AOS (which we mentioned on her I-130) to Consular Processing, which we would now have to do?
- Based on some information I have read so far, I need to ask USCIS to send approved I-130 to NVC but I am not clear if I need to file a new I-130 once I become Citizen?
- If I don't need to file a new one, how do I notify NVC when I become Citizen so the case doesn't continue to wait for Visa # allocation?
- What process can I initiate now when I am waiting for my naturalization?
- Are there any other options?
