EB1, I-140 was approved last month. I140/485 file concurrently on March. I want to change a job recenlty. But my lawyer from my employer tells me that I need to wait a year after the I140 filing date. Is it 180 days after I485 filing?

Yes, 180 days for 485. Why does your lawyer think 1 year? Is he/she rounding?

6 months after the filing of the I-485, as long as the I-140 has been approved, which is your case.... I agree with CURARE... The company lawyer may be playing little tricks on you...

You might want to be careful to change job locations. It may invalidate your labor cert., remember it is done for a certain specific city. You can change jobs if its the same exact position, duties and salary. I think this also extends to the same city. Any inputs from anyone else on this issue?
