Changing Employer after I-140 Approval

I work for Company A on H1-B Visa. Company A has started my GC process on EB2. At this point my labor is complete and have I-140 approved. My priority date is not current yet. I want to move over to Company B which is ready to sponsor my H1-B. From what I have read, I cannot port by I-140 till I have atleast 6 months pending on I-485 which can be applied only after my priority date goes current. Does that mean that I have to restart my GC process with Company B from scratch? Can I port over any part of the GC process that I have completed with Company A? I have only 1 yr 6 months left on my H1-B.

-----That is correct. For AC21 you need I-140 to be approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days.

--------YES, if employer A revokes your I-140. FYI employer can revoke the I-140 any time.

------ if you have the copy of I-140 approval notice then at the time of Second I-140 filing you can request the Lawyer to recapture the early PD.

I have only 1 yr 6 months left on my H1-B.
-------- What is your PD?(LC filing date) PD will be on I-140 approval also.
Country of Birth??
