Hi Guys,
Iam new to this forum. My case was filed form IL.
Here are the details
SESA PD : 06/20/2003
Sent to DOL : Sep 19 2003
Remanded to State : Nov 23 2003
Type : RIR

After this there is no info on this. When i contacted my attorney ,he says it was sent back to USDOL on Jan 8th 2004 from SESA and so far it was not updated in the AVM.I called USDOL they said they havent received any info about my case.
Iam not satisfied the way my Attorney is handling things. Can i change my Attorney now.If yes what will be the possible pros and cons.

I will appreciate any response you guys.

Thanks

Of course you can change your attorney at any point. Your new attorney can then submit a change of attorney representation to the SESA or DOL, wherever your case is currently pending and also notify your previous counsel to obtain a copy of your file. THis is often done, and is not an obstacle to your case proceeding smoothly.

Thanks Lana for the reply.
Iam looking for good Immigration Lawyer (Preferbly one in Chicago,IL ) who can atleast take some time to answer my concerns and take up my Case.If you know someone please give their details.

If/When you decide to change attorney, make sure you keep good relation with the old one. Sometime even after getting request for change of an attorney, DOL sends paper back to old attorney.

It happened to one of my friend. Old attorney used to get all the papers/query from DOL. Not only that, NY DOL also forwarded approved LC to the old attorney.

3 in 4 have the same complain. Remember lawyer is not working on your case only but other clients as well. DOL/USCIS is the authority where a lawyer can not do anything except replying.
Better stick with, make appropriate cprrespondence with the lawyer. That WILL work 100%.

Thanks guys for you input. It looks like it is better interest of me if i stick to my attorney.

Yeah you should. Chicago DOL is virtually stalled. Your lawyer is not guilty. :D
