Changing address while I-485 pending?

Have a I-485 pending at TSC, and will move to other place in the same city. Kinda wondering and nervous if it really works to change address by calling that 1-800 number. Anybody had similar experience, please share.

Thanks!

I have done it and had no problems. You will get a confirmation letter in about a month after change. Just make sure you change the address on all pending application EAD, AP. I-485 etc.

I was told the same thing but i just recieved a 2nd FP notice which was re routed to my new address by US Mail ( I mailed the change of address form as well as called the 800 # and got confirmation but they still mailed it to the old address).

What if the notice, such as RFE, get lost for whatever reason, would it bring up any problem besides delays? I know quite some folks have to move while their cases still pending. Please share your experience.

If you filed your case via a lawyer, you don't need to worry too much. INS will definitely send a copy to your lawyer.

Sharley,

I did everything by myself. But even you hire a lawyer, would the FP notice go throught him? I did a little research in this forum, and in case something is missing (hopefully very rare) because of address changing, most likely it would be FP notice.

By the way, your time frame is quite similar to mine. Take care.

Yes, we are quite similar. I will post my newest update, if any.
Let's keep fringer crossed. Actually, my lawyer also received a copy for my FP.
