Changing address AFTER interview, before oath

Hello,

I had my interview on Feb 25, and was recommended for citizenship. I am now awaiting my oath letter. I applied through the NYC District Office and had my interview at Federal Plaza. I am still waiting for the oath letter,--it has been 8 weeks since my interview. My IO told me I could expect to receive my oath letter in 4-6 weeks. I did request a name change, so I'm guessing that this is why it is taking so long.

My problem is that I need to move to Virginia in 1-2 weeks, and want to know how changing my address will affect my case. If anyone else has any experience with doing this, please do let me know. Will they put my oath on hold, make me wait 3 more months and then send me an oath letter for a ceremony in Virginia?

Thanks in advance for any information!

If they receive and process your address change before they schedule your oath, your oath may be delayed up to 3 months in order to schedule it at the new district area.
