My brother is here on B-2 (his 8th trip) and he is trying to get on an F-1 (he's already pursued 3 yrs of school in india and swiss in the same field). His school asked for a letter to INS stating why he is trying to change his status from within the country instead of going back to india and what hardships he might face if visa is denied?
Has anyone gone through this procedure? Can someone give me some tips or point out any sample letter that I could use?
