Change of status from F1 to H1B rejected

Hi,

My H1B got approved but my change of status from F1 to H1B was rejected. I'm currently working in my OPT and need to get the visa (H1B) stamped before my OPT expires. So I'm planning to go to Ottawa next month for the stamping. As my change of status was rejected, Can I do this in Ottawa or do I need to stamp it in India. Can anyone advice on this.

You can do it but be prepared to go to your home country from Ottawa if counsel ask you to go for visa stamping to your home country.
Have a back-up plan for this.
