alren,

Short answer is I don't know.

However, what I think happens is that before you file the original N400, you need to have met the 3 month in state residency requirement from the state you are filing from. That requirement does not need to met again if you move and/or your application is pending and your case has been transferred to the local office. In our case, it appears the delay was only due to the transfer of the case from one DO to another.

The requirement has to be met again in the new state. If your Feb 11 interview is before you have met the 3 month requirement in the new location, they'll deschedule your interview (again) or tell you to come back for another interview.

well --

That could be a problem because I am overseas for work and I have to make the time to come back to the US for this interview. Since I am outside the US I Can't make an Infopass appointment. I need to be sure about this. Did this happen to you Jackolantern?

My application is based on employment not marriage -- if it even makes a difference.

Here is what happened to me.
Moved 12/11, Orig ID 1/21. Filed AR11-12/20. Appt cancelled and file sent to Fairfax DO. Fairfax schedules for 2/10. Cannot go due to Snowmagaddon.

Walked in on 2/17. Interview passed, residency came into question. Issued N-652, decision cannot be made.
Mar 1, sent a request to prove 3 mo. residency. Resp on Mar 12 with settlement copies.
Made a few trips with InfoPass, on 3rd trip in mid april was told that it was approved, but not in the queue for oath.
Finally got the oath notice in 3rd week of May.

Hindsight - Should have contacted USCIS that 3 mos. are not over and reschedule the date (again no guarantees).

Cheers!
