Hi,

I have following questions regarding Citizenship application.

1)Can I change state after applying for citizenship?for example at present I am in Illinoi and applied for citizenship.Next month I moved to Florida for job .
This move will create any issue as i am changing USCIS District?

2)Can I travel out of country after citizenship application?

3)can i apply for citizenship after 4 yr 9 month of after 5 years only?

Thanks

1) You can change state after you apply, but must notify USCIS of any permanent move. If you're moving to Florida for a job permanently, then you'll need to notify USCIS of the move, which will incur a processing delay of up to 3 months due to jurisdiction change.

2) Yes, you may travel after you submit application as long as it doesn't break continuous residency.

3) You can apply for naturalization up to 90 days before you have reached 5 years of continuous residency as a LPR.

N400 application after 4 yr 9 month

HI,

Thanks for yr reply.I have following question for citizenship application after 4 yr 9 month

1)what do you mean by continuous residency ?

2) In N-400 form what to fill in part 2 Info about yr eligibility

a)I have been lawful P.residence for 5 years
b)other (explain)
When you are applying after 4 yr 9 month.

3)USCIS will process my case after 3 month(wait for my 5 years to complete) or immediately?

Thanks

1)Continuous residence is a basic requirement for naturalization. It basically means you don't leave the US for for than 6 continuous months at a time.
2)Depends what rule you file under. If applying under 5 year rule (-90 days), then choose A.
3) They will start processing your case when they receive it. However, they can't render a decision until you pass 5 year mark.
