Hi,
My i485 is being processed in Texas service. i 140 already approved. I have passed 180 days in i485. My Employer who sponsered the GC is in Georgia. Hence my application is in Texas
service center. I was off the project for last few months.

Now i have got good offer from other company from Virginia who is going to place me in Maryland. Same job classification & salary is more than labour mentioned salary.

If i change my place from GA to Maryland, Do i have change the address on i485 application. Or if i just send AR 11 Application form .Is that Enough.

If i change address on i485 application, Naturally All my application will be moved to Vermont service center. Will it take more time for my GC or Will i be issued RFE.

If i don't give change of address on my i485 application, & If any RFE or Interview comes, During replying to that RFE Will it be Big Problem at that time due to different address on pay stub & tax return.

Please Help me .
Thx

You are better off by moving to VSC. AR11 is a general notice. You need to send separate letters for individual I485s.

So far the big question is when to inform BCIS should be informed of the job change. If the jobs are similar or same, I would recommend send a letter to BCIS now before RFE. This is not a hard fast legal requirement yet though.

Q for Sank

This is regarding the I-9 Form that your new employer has to comply with INS requirements.

In the List of Acceptable Documents there are 3 sections.
LIST A (or) LIST B AND LIST C.

I can not see the I-766B (our EAD card number) on the lists (??).

The closest I could find was #10 in LIST A i.e Unexpired EAD with Photo (INS I-688B) and in LIST C I guess you will show your Social Security Card. ( Also the SS card says "Valid for work only with INS Authorization).

Anybody experienced with the I9 form when using AC21 Please elaborate.

possible transfer

one of the coming concerns regarding to your job change is the case transfer from TSC to VSC as you said. Looking through other information in forum. I would say you case will probably be transferred to local office instead of sevice center, and an interview could also be scheduled after your case transfer.
I am a newmember in the forum. you may refer to others' opinion.

Sank,
Please consider that the Service center transfer may not happen even if you move to other SC areas, per my experience. I have applied I-485 at TSC and my ND is Mar 22, 2002. As soon as I have applied, I moved to CA and notified INS thru AR-11 form. But until today, my application seems to be processed at TSC only. Even my FP notice was sent by TSC in Mar 2003. When I spoke to an IIO[ a long ago!] at TSC, she told me that there are chances that my case will be handled by other SCs without even informing me. I don't know how far it is true.

Jaxen,
Can we move our I-485 application from one SC to another on our own request?

Hi GovGc

Hi ,
Since you had not changed the address on i 485 application. your application is not moved to Other INS.

you have just sent Ar 11 form.

If we get a Rfe or Interview from TSC, When you reply to that Rfe you have to show up pay stub which you got in CA.

Won't be a problem at that time. Will INS raise Question
why u did not change the address on i 485 Application.

Sank,
Thanks for your reply. Initially I didn't send a written notification of my address change on my I-485 application to TSC. But, around Feb 2003 when I contacted National Sevice center regarding a query on my FP notice, I was asked why I haven't informed them about my address change. Then, that nice IIO said she had changed my address on my I-485 application at TSC. Also she advised me that in future, if I come across any address change, I have to inform both TSC and the local INS center.
