Change of processing centers

I have applied for my parents' immigration on Apr 2004 sent to the Texas Processing Center. They are way behind than other centers, currently they are processing June '03 petitions. Yesterday I got a notice letting me know that the cases have been transferred to the CA processing center. I looked up their dates and they arfe currently processing Aug '04. Is this change good or bad? What is the time frame I am looking at now? How long does the entire process take?

Thanks,

D.

It’s a good news for you

Texas Center has a backlog and California’s doesn’t. It means that you will get a decision on your application much faster, then if you waited to hear from Texas.
I just filed my I-130 with the Texas Center. Didn’t get the receipt yet. I won’t mind if they transfer my case to the different office for the faster processing. I don’t want to wait another year and a half.
