Change of Name - please help

I am currently an H1-B holder and am marrying a USC in July. We plan to apply for my green card after marriage. Should i change my name first (after marriage) before i apply for the new status? I am very concerned as i plan to marry in July, but travel on a honeymoon in October. I am afraid if i change my name first and then apply, what do i do when i want to travel in October? can i travel on my old passport with H1_b visa or not. I will apply for the travel docutment but worried that it won't come through before i leave on my honeymoon. Very confused. Please help.
 
you don't have to change your name right away. You can travel with your H1 visa and passport in maiden name. It doesn't matter.

I filed all my AOS docs in my married name, however, the only place where my married name appears is my SSN. My driver's licence, my passport, my credit cards, my utility bills, everything are in my maiden name. And changing your name on SSN can come before or after your filing for AOS. Doesn't matter, really.
 
Thank you for the help. This whole process is overwhelming. I have another question. On the bio-forms...at the bottom it asks for applicant's name and A#...do i put my name and stuff on my form as well as the one my husband fills out (he is the USC)?
