Change of Mind after requesting Name change in N400

Hi All

I requested a name change on my N400 but I have changed my mind and I not longer want to change my name.
After submitting my N400 my mother has gotten very sick and I need to go to my home country to care for her and I know that changing my name will delay my oath and therefore getting my US passport and I need to travel....

What should I do? Can I ask for my name not to be changed during my interview?

You can withdraw name change request at the interview which I hope you have not done yet.

Make sure the IO heed your name change withdrawal request. Put down this request emphatically but politely.
