Is it safe to change job in case of substitution labor as long as the nature and description of job is same.

Do they treat substitution labor case differently, I already have received an RFE for my past experiences which I responded in August 2006, since then my case is pending and the reply is my background check is pending.

You are fine to change employer as long as your I-140 approved and I485 past 180 days with same or similar duties.

Finally good news. Our GCs approved today. Please go thru my case details in signature.

NC hell took almost 90% of my wait time. Almost 26 months stuck in NC clearance process.

To reply to my 2nd RFE, i approached attorney (paid $600) and I feel it would be waste in my case, he didn't do anything except preparing cover letter which anyway I knew it. The reason for getting attorney into picture is I wanted to play a safe game with sub labor of 8.5 yrs old PD.

My total GC jouney (with sub. labor) took 30 months out of which 26 months stuck in NC. Otherwise I could have got GC last yr itself (PD: march 1999).


Please be patient and one day will be yours, believe me one day will come for everyone to make you happier.

Did you ever write any letter to congressman or any other authority for follow ups.

I did move to full time offer and changed my employer after 21 months stay with original employer who initiated GC process.

However if u look at my signature, i got 2nd RFE on current employment on 9/14, replied to it on 10/2 and today we are approved. So fast right?

So there is no risk of changing employers as long as u stayed with first employer at least 180 days.

Good thing is TSC is accepting fax replies and that did the trick for fast approval other it could have been delayed couple of weeks or more.

I would also like to fax TSC but unless my background check gets cleared,
It would be useless to request expedition of my case.
