Change of job after 180 days

This is a basic (sorry, stupid) question. We all know that one can change jobs 180 days after filing for I-485 with an approved I-140 in the same job occupation.

After layoff, I frantically searched and found one, took the same out of desparation. But now that I have time to breath, I see more opportunities in the "same/similar job occupation".

1. Can I change to this / these jobs?

2. Will this hoping while AOS is pending can trigger any events?

( I know I will settle in the best place and frequent hops do not look good on my resume)

I am just curious from AC21 and GC point of view.

Please help.

There is NOTHING which can stop you from doing so .. so beat it !!

2. Will this hoping while AOS is pending can trigger any events?

i dont see any theoritical reason that this should do any harm to you.

Have you excercised AC21, by informing BCIS or did you choose to wait for the " IF " of the RFE. ?

Thanks for info. I would like to inform BCIS about the job change. Last time I did it without informaing BCIS. The result was catastrophic. It was not RFE not even NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) but a straight denial!!!!!!

My ex-employer informed about the layoff, BCIS (not employer) revoked I-140 and denied I-485. I filed for Motion To Reopen/Reconsider case.

AC21 says that adjustee needs to inform BCIS about job change.

Now waiting for results.

Please advise.

When did he inform INS .... after how many days of I485 filling, and did you have approved i140 ... what was the exact situation ?

Did you change job before the safe period ?

My layoff occurred 2 years after filing I-485. I had approved I-140 (amended) 7 months before layoff.

How should we decide if the job is "same/similar job occupation" to use AC21. As Labor is noprmally filed by employer, should we ask employer to give a copy of Labor . In my case I am not sure that employer will be willling to give the copy of labor . Is there any other way to know about the description of job in LCA.
Thanks

Employer does give a copy of LC. If they do not have on file, the lawyer who filed LC does. By law, he HAS to provide you a copy. Just ask.
