Change of First Name and last name

I intend to change Middle and Last Name for self and wife. Guide says that if the Oath of Allegiance at a Naturalization Ceremony that is held in Court, you may ask the Court to change your name.

Three Questions:

ONE

I live in Houston TX - how can I find out if Oath of Allegiance at a Naturalization Ceremony that is held in Court or not

TWO

If it is going to be held in a court, do I indicate change of name request on N-400 or should I make the request verbally in the Court?

Is this likely to delay my Naturalization process?

1. Check with your DO if name change will be done at the time of interview.
2. If name change needs to be done through court, you can request name change on the application and start petition process in your district superior court.
3. Yes, it will delay the process if you wait until interview. You should start the process ASAP and immediately after submission of N-400 form (if name change can not be done at the time of interview).
