Change of Appearance

Hello,
I am going to my country for two weeks, and need to shave my head back there for certain religious reasons. Will there be any problem at the USCIS immigration counter - in terms of change of appearance from the photo in the GC.
Thanks

Nope. No problem. People change their hair all the time. Women do it for fun, and the officers just have to work with you. They look at face and eye structure, not at hair length or color.
I hope your ceremony will bring healing - if it is what I think it is and you are the eldest son. Travel safe

I dont think Poster will have problems as he will be having his DL and passport with him.If he wishes he could get affidavit made Before Notary in India on stamp paper and can fix his both the photographs with name and date of birth and Notary will put a seal and will write that both the photographs are of XYX son of AAAA and his date of Birth is…. And the reason can be explained for shaving his head. Show the notarized affidavit only if asked at POE (I am 100 % sure they will not ask).
I know this because one person had his passport with long beard photograph and his GC was also with photograph with long beard and then he shaved his beard and was not looking like same person on his passport photograph and was questioned at POE .

Take a picture of yourself before the shave, and then after the shave, wearing the same clothes in both. Then show them if you have a problem at the POE. As long as the pre-shave picture looks like your GC, you should be OK.
