#1 For pending cases, you should call the NCSC at 1-800-375-5283, wade through the menu options then speak with someone to let them know of the address change. You'll need your case #'s and possibly your Alien # (both of these should be on the I-485 receipt notice) along with your SSN etc. In theory, they'll update the address and you should receive a confirmation via mail that this was done within 30 days (at least that's what I was told).
#2 File form AR11 (http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/ar-11.htm) to let the USCIS know where you are located. My understanding (perhaps incorrect) is that you should do this within 10 days of moving, although I've also been told that as long as your mail is being forwarded from the old address you are ok. I'd file it asap just to be sure.
Actually you have to do both. Filing of AR11 is a requirement by US gov. This does not update the pending case address at the service center. You still have to call the service center and update your address change.(I had to do this recently).
