Change of Address

I have a few questions abt the change of address. When someone moves he files a AR11. Now i read a lot of places that AR11 triggers a RFE or FP notice. Is this correct if a person is in the 485 stage. what would happen if a person just has I140 filed. also does the change of address cause a case to be transferred ???

My I140 is filed in CA and i will be moving soon . will something happen to my case if i file a change of address ??? do i have to call csc and update my address too,.

Lawyers recomend that after filing 140/485 u should atleast wait till u get your EAD/ AP and Fp notice as these come to u directly. Idealy they say u should not change your address but in case if u have to then do it after u receve all metioned above.

Not sure what happens after u get these and u change your address. how does CIS handles the cases and address changes?

It is not clear from your note if you are contemplating a change of address. In case you are, please be sure to call the National Customer Service Center at the 800 number and provide the change of address for all applications by every single receipt number that is pending preferable on or before the day on which the new address is effective. This will trigger a material change on the files and will be reflected on the case status message online. This is from my personal experience.

This needs to be done in addition to sending in an AR11 form for you and your dependents.

Cheers
