Hi ,
I am new to this forum..I have a doubt and would appreciate if anyone can reply to this..
Once we apply for 485 should we not change our address..
---- You can change the address
I am in apt now and planning to buy a house but b4 that I would apply for my 485..
----- Apply the I-485 and when you get I-485 filing receipt then change your address
So there will be a change of address..
---- Yes, you need to change address when you move.
1 fill up the form AR11 for you and your spouse and mail it
2 update the NCSC on 1-800-375-5283 with I-485 receipt # and your name, DOB A# (that A# you will get on I-485 receipt) if you have spouse she has also to update.
3 write letter to USCIS service center where your I-485 will be pending, attach copy of your I-485 receipt, provide your name, DOB, past address A# and NEW ADDRESS in bold and send the letter with certified return receipt to your service center and request that your home address should be changed on all pending petitions( if applied EAD, AP attach the copy of receipts) and out side the envelope write in big bold letters ATTN: Change of address
*** You and your family member all have to do the above 1, 2, 3
Can anyone clear my doubt. Do the above they day you move to new address and also update the post office they have form to fill up for change of address so that they can forward your mail to new address. Update all your credit card agencies, bank and provide new address
Thanks
