Change of address question - got GC stamped

Here is good news:
Got GC stamped with my family at INS - San Jose office on 02/11/2002 (Monday).
Reached there at 2:45 AM and left INS office at 8:10 AM after getting GC stamped
on the passport.

Since I have to change my current address as I have to move but would stay in same city
( at San Jose) . I have been told by INS person that it will take 6 to 9 months to get GC - plastic card.
He has given me a form about the change of address and I would have to send it to INS in case of move.
Here, my question is that:
Is there any major impact for getting plastic card on the new address and /or
is it difficult task to update my record at INS office - CSC?

Your response would be highly appreciated.

Where does the Approval Notice come to. the attorney or you

Original to attorney and courtesy copy to your home address

It is better to take courtesy copy for stamping because ur address is on that and this is used for sending the gc card.

it normally takes 4-7 days to arrive in the mail
