Hi All,

I have to change my address and had following questions-

1. What is the process to inform INS for the same? (which form?)
2. Does it have to be done separately for all pending applications? (140 & 485)
3. DOES THIS DELAY THE 485 ????? !!!!!! I have heard conflicting info on this.

Please HELP

1. A letter is enough. AR11 is not necessary
2. Yes. Mention the respective receipt number and A# if any
3. Might, if the change of address is outside the jurisdiction of service center, since might involve transfer of case...Otherwise it will affect processing.

Jaxen,
My change of address is in the same city so there is no
issue of a change in jurisdiction. Will this still affect the processing? I know I dont have much choice either way, but I am still paranoid about it

regarding change of address

hi savant123456,
i applied for change of address at vermont center a few days ago....i called the (802) number on the receipt and they changed my address on all the pending applications based on my Alien #. If your are married, change the address on your spouses application too.

I asked him if that would affect the processing...but he said it will not.

Apart from calling the vermont service center, you will also have to submit the AR-11 form. This form has nothing to do with your Green Card processing but is very essential.

Thanks

Also, don't send a letter....it is always better to call. It might take some time to get through the system....but it is always better to call.
