Change of address and work authorization

Hello,
My husband applied for political asylum in San Francisco, we have our Master hearing at the end of Apr and we are planing to move to Chicago in may or June. Will we be able to keep the case in CA as we dont want to transfer case due to possible time delays. Will there any problem that we have case in different state? Also, we had our first master hearing in OCT 2012 and we requested an extantion because we needed more time to make a dissision. Now our clock is stopped, it there any way we an restart it in order to get work authorisation? Thank you
 
I dont understand the way you formulate your sentences, but I will try to answer you from what I understood.

Wait for his hearing and decision! Once he gets his decision "asylum granted" right there at the asylum office "On Folsom Street" he can get the form for a new address.

From what I understood, "You are trying to extend your hearing just to get an authorization work permit"? If you have a lawyer "Im sure you have one", ask him or her. I know you can get an authorization permit only if your hearing you have been waiting for it for more than 6 months.
