change jobs during J1 waiver process ?

found a job at the state hospital and my documents are in the DOS now. got a phonecall from clinical director that i should change my sponsor from state hospital to university. the reason for that is they have one spot only through university. but one physician who was sponsored by university left couple of months ago, then they have one university spot. i didn't hear anything about university but he is kind of insisting. he said nothing will be changed but the sponsorship. i am worried about it might affect my waiver process. any input would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

First, is it Conrad 30?

If it is at DOS then it is already approved by IGA.

My understanding is that if you change sponsor, you have to go through whole process again. First you would have to withdraw you current application.

Why does he want to change? Does your current job donot exist anymore?

What does your lawyer says?

yes, it is Conrad 30. my lawyer told me to try not to change until i get the H1b visa. i am trying to persuade the clinical director now. do you know any similar cases ? and results ?

I agree with the lawyer.

Once you get h1b, you can have additional H1Bs.

But be careful, your commitment is at least 40 hrs with your waiver job.

You can have your clinical director talk directly to your lawyer.
