Ginnu,
Thanks a lot for your quick and detailed response.
Even though I am changing the employers,
I am not changing my address. I guess I don't have to do AR11, update addresses etc for now.
-----------correct
Since I have already completed 6 years on H1, I don't see any option other than filing for AC21. Does it need to be filed the very first day I start working for new employer?
------------ you can file later
Is it oK if I have the offer letter nad pay stubs from the new employer ready
----- once you get pay stubs and offer letter better to file AC21( fyi pay stubs are not must for AC21, if you attach it is good)
(just in case I have to change employer again bcos this is a body shopper) and file for AC21 later?
------------ then again file AC21 with new employer letter, one can file more than one AC21, USCIS will approve according to latest letter and that request should be made on cover letter
Where do I get forms for AC21?
------------no forms for AC21. new employer permanent job offer letter with same/similar job duties+ i-485 filing reciept copy+ cover letter to request for AC21, mail all thie document to USCIS where I-485 is pending, mail by certified mail, out side the envelope write in big bold letter: request to invoke AC21 with pending i-485
Please point me to any guidelines available on filing for AC21 and general planning to handle this scenario.
----------- spend 1 hour read other posts searh the threads, all the info posed in this thread is related to AC21. for more info find a good lawyer and seek legal advice.
Thanks!
