For USCIS, whenever you fill out an application after your marriage, put your current name (after marriage), and your maiden name under "Other names used". I am not sure if you need to do anything about your pending cases.
Here is the link about changing your name on your SS Card:
http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/ssa.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=80

Since I wanted to make sure that my name matched my name in record with the SSAdministration I did that before sending the forms. People here told me that wasn't necessary though. I'm still kinda paranoid so I changed it everywhere. It was kind of a pain to update my SSN info though. You have to proof that u're working in order to change your name, if u don't have a job now, u're gonna have to wait till u get your EAD. It all depends on which status u're here as.

If you have already filed your forms with immigration, I would say your best bet would be to try to update at your 485 interview so your GC will have your married name. Other then that, trying to update something on a form already filed with immigration is almost impossible.

Changing your name on your SS# is easy, just a copy of your marriage certificate.

I haven't changed my name since married in August 2005. I will have AOS interview on Feb 28, 06. I am thinking of using my husband's last name on the green card, then I will make changes to the other documents, like Social Security Card, Driver's license, ID etc... Should I go ahead to change it now as additional evidence for true marriage for the interview or do it later to avoid confusion to them (because I used my maiden last name in all I130, I131, I485, I765 application forms).
