Change in message no LUD

My message also changed without any LUD

On January 20, 2005, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

From your signature is unclear if you have done FP. If, yes, did LUD changed after your FP date? Something as "the results of your FP ..."
 
Karatekid: You must take INFOPASS or call VSC directly and ask about your Backgrounds Checks. You must request also an apointment to take another FP. It`s valid for only 15 mo and your last one was on 8/9/05 Code 3. Even if you have every NC cleared they won`t approve your case without valid FP.

How you can request FP appointment by yourself? My experience is that I was not able to get any appointment - I was always told (infopass and phone enquiries) that USCIS only knows when or if they need it. Did you get any succsess with getting FP appointment by your request?

I have done the FP code 3 long back in 2005, but the system was never updated. I think that FP already expired.

Also I searched the USCIS website with the EAC numbers falling in the same time frame and noticed that for all of I-485 cases the message has been changed to as it is for me or with the Finger Print received blah blah..so I think it is just a mass update for the message. No green yet...

Then, looks like they just keep updating whatever was last time posted in our cases by adding more words. I agree - nothing happened yet
 
My message also changed to that new stupid one. I am not sure whether this is related to the enquiry I made at the National Service Center and asked those asshles to send me new finger print notice. Just my guess that as soon as anybody makes an enquiry and the dates are current then those people have their messages updated after VSC receives enquiry from NSC. Long shot..........................

Hi Guys,

My I-485 is a Diversity Visa based pending at MSC(NBC).I also got(same as another guy at DV forum) new message similar to yours with no new LUD on 11/18/06.

NSCH: Just call VSC officer and let them know about your FP expired and ask to set up an appointment to take another one. Also, u can go to your USCIS town office in person and request with Infopass. They won`t approve your case without valid FP.

jhawilla, That's exactly what I did, but they refused to give me anything and said that I have to wait for FP letter from VSC, when I will be required. Also I read somewhere that there are no mechanism to control this (some lawyer's web page- don't remember).
Maybe it worked for you or somebody, but not for me. I personally gave up. Just waiting.
 
New FP only after NC cleared

Don't worry I am also in the same boat. My first FP was in Jul 2005. I did not get another FP after that.

From reading other threads, looks like the trend VSC follows now is to send new FP notice only after the name check/background check is cleared for that application.

Do you know if your NC is cleared or not? If you get a new FP notice, that means there is light at the end of the tunnel! :)

Does anyone has "Our review should be completed within 30 days" in their recent changed messages.... I got the following msg:


We reopened this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS on XXX, and are now reviewing our earlier decision. We also mailed you a notice describing the next steps in the process. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Our review should be completed within 30 days. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.


My PD is two months behind the current PD....
Date shows on this message is, I-140 AD....
Didn't get any RFE....
I-485 filed 3 yrs back....
Enquired two times, they informed my NC or Security (whatever) is pending....

So my question here, does anyone got this (review should be done in 30 days) in their recent changed messages....

Could anyone has idea what is it about ?

I think you are absolutely right. Interestingly, I found that there were some approval notices said that biometrics may be required and people are getting FP(code 3) soon after that. So, this is unpredictable.
My NC was intiated right after FP were taken in March 2005 - I have no idea till now whether it was cleared or not. On the end of October I made case status enquiry - waiting for response, it may clarify (may not) something.

Dear nsch:

I would recommend using InfoPass instead of the inquiry (or in addition to). The results of the inquiry usually take a lot longer than their advertised 30 days and really don't tell you anything new... However, talking directly to an immigration officer during an InfoPass interview gets you a lot more info. In addition, I was able to get an InfoPass appointment within a week...

Just my opinion.

you may be right, we have to do something, I 'll schedule an infopass and tell what I'll got this time
 
I think (and hope) that the message change to "processing resumed/FP received" is not a routine message change. My 485 messages are the same as they were from the start: "we received your i485......." no mention of FP. My RD/ND is later than you guys though.
RD - 11-30-05, FP - 02-2006, i140 AD - 03-2006.
