Change in marital status - forms to fill?

Hello,

I work in the US on an H1B visa. Recently, I got married and my spouse studies in the US on an F1 visa. We have a marriage certificate (from India, where we got married), etc. Do we need to file any forms with INS showing our changed marital status?

If your spouse wants to change to h4, then file I539 which is change of status. See INS web site
