A# from OPT
Hi,
I got A# on OPT EAD few years ago (135-xxx-xxx), and as suggested by university lawyer I used it on I-140 + I-485 and on all supporting documents (G-325A, I-693, back of photographs, cover letters, check, pages with additional information, etc).
To my surprise, on I-140 and I-485 receipts there was different A# (99-yyy-yyy). Lawyer said that's OK.
Somebody in this forum also said that that is normal, (s)he also got a new A# when applying for I-485, also starting with 99.
I think it's good to write old A# so that USCIS can link old and new A-files.
