How do you expect to land in Canada on July 31, 2005 when your visa expires on June 9, 2005???

I am sorry to tell you but you are in trouble. Any change in family composition (In your case you married) after they issue the visa cancells the PR visa and you may have to start the whole process again

The best option for you is to go personally to the Canadian embassy that issued your visa and ask for their advice.

Kenny04,

If possible go to Canadian embassy and try to talk to someone there. I know it is difficult but you can say that you have been trying to get in touch since Jan and have got no response.

I hope you have mentioned your file number in every correspondence.

Thanks a lot for your kind response.Fortunately i got a letter from canadian embassy stating that i can go alone and then apply for her immigration after completing 12 monthes of employment.this is for your info.

I am happy for you but am also extremely surprised. If you check the CIC website www.cic.gc.ca you will find out that there is no requirement to work for a year before you can sponsor your wife.

Advice for you - keep this letter with you. You may need it when you finally decide to sponsor your wife.

I also suggest that you post your questions on the following website:

There are a few immigration experts there that can comment on your situation. All the best

There is something wrong here. If you land, and since your wife has not been examined as per Regulations:

(9) A foreign national shall not be considered a member of the family class by virtue of their relationship to a sponsor if

(d) subject to subsection (10), the sponsor previously made an application for permanent residence and became a permanent resident and, at the time of that application, the foreign national was a non-accompanying family member of the sponsor and was not examined.

You can never sponsor her. Also your PR visa is invalid if you "land" as single person when you are actually married. There is an excellent chance that CIC will report and remove you from Canada.
