Change in job within the same Company

Hi, I am a work in the field of finance & came to US on L1 visa. My 485 app is in processing. I have been promoted & moved to another department where my title & job responsibilities are quiet different. Does it impact my 485 processing? I have already received EAD / AP & completed the fingerprinting. Does INS check back at any stage about the job from the employer?
Please advice. Thanks
 
No . INS is not likely to check about employment

unless you or your employer send anything that tells them about it.
