I have just had my H-1 renewed and LC approved through a pulmonary-critical care group. We've started the petition for EB-2 (advanced degree) and things are so far going well. However, due to workforce's shortage, the group is planning to allocate me to be the full-time intensivist at one of the hospitals we have contract with. I will still be employed under the same employer but the job function will be different from what's in the H-1 renewal, Labor Cert and I-140 petition. I don't think USCIS cares much about the details as long as it's the same employer but I don't want this to come back and haunt me later. Any wisdom or input is appreciated. Thanks.
