Change in Company Name

What are the likely effects to the 485 processing, should our employer decide to change the name of the business?

Anyone in the same boat?

If there is a name change with change in tax id number, then the 140 should be amended due to "successor in interest".

For more details on filing amendments to 140, search under the CSC forum, we had a case a few months ago where someone's company got bought over and his lawyer insisted on filing an amended 140, got his approval real quick after that.
