what you think is it a good idea to do it if your B1/B2 visa expires and you need to come back again in 2 months?

thanks

I am confused. Your thread topic mentions F-1. Your post actually makes no mention of it. What exactly is your case and what is your query?

Ok sorry for that

Here is the thing, my visa experises in october (B1/B2) so i am leaving the country in october. But i need to come back again in late december this year or january of 2011 for 3 weeks. MY concern is that they might refuse me at POE because of 2 months interval between visits. So to avoid that i can change the visa type from B1/B2 to F1 so i can stay in the US untill late january 2011.

That is the question

take a risk and come back again in two months or change the visa type?

thanks and sorry for confusion

On B1/B2 visa i was in the US for some exams and vacation, in two months i am gonna come back again for exams again that are scheduled in january

Converting to F1 requires that one be intending to study. You would have had to specify at entry that you might do that during your visit.

If you must be here in Dec/Jan, leave now and return then for the best chance of entry.

unfortunately the earliest time i can leave is at the end of the september.

no i didnt mention about that at the entry, you think it was mandatory to mention about that at the POE?
