change address after filing 485

Hi ,

     My friend in san jose , CA is filing 485 at california center . Can he change residence address after filing the 485 . His lawyer is saying that he can not change his residence address after filing 485 . I know in vermont center , we can change address after filing 485 . I myself changed address in vermont center and got GC without any problem.

Is it true in california center , does not allow to change address after filing 485 . Please share your experience or thoughts .

kings! I changed my address after filing I-485

My RD/ND: both 01/01 to CSC.
I moved the house in May.
My lawyer was nice and sent the change of the address for me, at that time.

I changed too

I changed my address after filing I485. My lawyer
has filed the address change in August but INS has not
updated the address yet. I got my EAD\'s forwarded from
previous address by USPS, but haven\'t got the AP\'s.
I don\'t know what will happen to the FP. I am trying to
talk to IIO to do the address change over phone.
So in theory you can change your address but you
have to struggle to get the INS change in their records.
