Chances of Re-enty after an over stay

I have a friend that entered on vistor visa and overstayed for six months. He is now planning to come back since there is time left on the visa. It's only been 5 months since he left.

Is his visa still valid?

Does he stand a chance to get entry?

Why would you think it is ok for him to come back after overstaying?

I mean, using what logic does he think he can return after abusing the terms of his visa?

NO. he CAN NOT return using that same visa. It is now VOID and he will 100% chance be sent back home.

He can try his luck at the POE. If he gets in, ask him to buy a lottery ticket once he leaves the airport.
