You are cordially invited to a sneak preview of The New Americans, a seven-hour miniseries produced by the creators of Hoop Dreams. Premiering March 29-31, 2004 on PBS, the series focuses on the search for the American Dream through the eyes of today’s immigrants and refugees.
Filmed between 1998 and 2002, the series follows newcomers from Nigeria, India, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the West Bank before they leave their homelands and into their first years in America.
You are invited to a preview of The New Americans on March 17. Banjara Indian Cuisine will serve a light lunch from 11:30-12pm. The program will begin at 12 sharp.
