Certified copy of marriage certificate.

From the County Clerk's/Registrar's office where you got married.

Note if you're filing AOS you only need to send USCIS a photocopy of the cerified copy of the marriage certificate, and keep the original the Clerk's office give you for when you have your interview.

I got married in San Francisco,CA. I live in Massachusetts. Can I get it certified at a county clerk's office here?

Thanks a lot! I was looking at the city clerk's website and they didn't have any information on obtaining certified copies of a marriage certificate, only mariage licenses.

Merry Christmas!

Just to be pedantic, the original of the marriage certificate is held by the Clerk's office, you can only personally own a "certified copy" of it.

It is a photocopy of this "certified copy" that you should send with AOS paperwork, and bring the original "certified copy" with you to the interview.
