There are a lot of folks who will soon be celebrating the 2nd anniversary if things continue like this. I hope they do not have to wait that long.
 
15 MONTHS + Now

I am one of the of those very unlucky ones waiting since March 2002 ( 15 + months )

1+ year now.

WAC02111 and on my 2nd EAD just now. Only hoping that I dont have to apply for a third extension of EAD.
 
If the GC process is taken on a whole its taking roughly 4 years+.
And we thought time taken to deliver babies are too long..
BTW anniversaries are usually a celebaratory time this is like a sentence..
 
Probably BCIS wants to prepare us for more bad times in this country. Maybe we will consider ourselves war veterans after the battle for GC.

No I asked an army veteran on this board, and he told me waiting for GC is worse.
 
Maybe they want to find out how many of these jobs are really "permanent", in these economic conditions and how long we can hold on to it.
 
12 Month may not seem long, but

don't forget we started the LC in 1998. Our 1-140 took over 2 years. We are already 6 years and counting . . .
 
ok - we feel sorry for you - but we are so busy feeling sorry for ourselves we don't have much " sorry" to spare - do you feel better now ?? Its a shit life -but someone has to deal with the crap - and I suppose it has to be us tax paying legal immigrant suckers !!

I don't expect anyone to feel sorry for me! (I do that enough myself).

People here were saying that one day it will take 6-8 years. I wanted to make a point that it is taking 6-8 years. Atleast for me it does.
 
wait o wait - i really didn't mean it in a rude way - I do feel sorry for you even if you don't want anyone to feel sorry for you - I feel sorry for anyone who is spending time on this forum waiting for and stressing about H1bs, EADs APs I 485 s etc - the average man in the street doesn't even know what all that is - and here we are stressing our lives away about when the next step will be reached and how to pay the friggin' immigration lawyer his 8K bill

you're right 6-8 years is probably a good estimation though a depressing one at that - I'm three and a half years into this and would rather not be on this website at 5.20 am in the morning!!!
 
I am sorry I overreacted

Some time I feel we live in the perfect dictatorship. We pay all the taxes and have absolutely no rights. And through it all, we don’t have a guarantee we will not be kicked out, and for some (like me) it is a severe punishment.


Oh well, I guess you will help me celebrate the 2 year anniv. as well

shantu - or whatever you call yourself - I wish my kids went to school for free - the schools in my area are up to crap so we have chosen to keep our kindergartner in private school at one hell of a price - our other is an infant in day care at one hell of a price -and because we don't have a green card and can't move to where we want ( coz stuck in current employment) - we can't buy a house and so are taxed to hell - but you're right in that it is our choice to stay = so I guess its a case of " shut up or ship out"

Well this forum allows us the luxury to whine a little to people who understand - may not help anybody in the long run but it lets off a little steam and stops the therapists from getting too rich !!!!!


And by the way ... I have never called the cops for no reason - but then maybe thats because I don't know where you live .......
