Cat&Mouse became TIGER after 26 months ( DEC 2001 case)

Hi All,
Today my wife called me at work that my case has been approved.I immediately checked online, I couldn't beilive my eyes.
:D :D :D .My wife & mine both cases are approved.

We filed I-485 on 6th dec.2001.Soon after on 31st jan I got laid off.(terrible,horrible time of our life) At that time I even didn't have EAD on my hand.After that we received FP and EAD but didn't work untill 180 days were over. After that I used EAD in june2002 and changed 4 jobs till date although didn't change home address.We stayed at same address till dec 2003.I got perm.offer in nov.2003 so changed address and moved to different state.I didn't file AC-21 because worked for short term projects.My lawyer faxed my case info to VSC expedite no. two weeks back which I think triggred our case.

First Fingerprinting : 06 feb 2002
Second Finger printing: 20 sep 2003
3rd EAD approved on 12nd feb2004
wife's EAD still pending..EAd was also approved and sent on April 2nd 2004.

It's good to seen another 2001 filer get approved. Looks like things are finally moving for 2001 souls.

Other day it was "Senior Member", Vidongre and now cat&mouse!

I am not sure, just to append to my message earlier. I have this theory, IF YOU ARE 2001 Applicant, and your 2nd Fingerprints were done in Sept/Oct-2003,

Most likely your FBI/Name Check has been cleared and if you already had an RFE your cases will be approved in April.

My case would have been approved, had not been for this RFE for medical forms submitted as photo copies.

I have been tracking my and other cases closely, and dealing with senators plus making sense of what immigration officers have to say......!!!

Let's see if my theory comes true for all you guys............

It's nice to see old cases getting approved! Looks like the fax has worked for you too.

Hopefully fira, vinnu, stuka, tufan, sam99, edison_nj, another samxxxx and other 2001 filers will get approved soon!

I have tried the fax # three times and the last time i got the response was that if i try again to expedite, then they won't even reply to my request. I am not sure what reason cat&mouse's lawyer gave to them!!!!


Maybe you guys are giving better reasons then mine. I think it does trigger the case, as the last time i got the response on March 9th and then on March 11th the RFE was generated.

Also.. we can link things but i have a strong feeling that they are trying to finish up with the backlogged 2001 cases as the APPROVAL movement we have seen in 1 week we have not seen it before.

I have known you guys for so long and all of you getting approval as the same time is not coincidence!

Finally.. those lazy a**ses are doing some work.

End of the day it matters is............the APPROVAL!

Ya,I didn't believe my wife either.I said "today is not April 01". I am still crossing my finger untill I get something on my hand.I initiated senetor inquiry in Jan but didn't work.NO RESPONSE AT ALL.Since FEB 2002 we were tired to see this old message.
"ON FEB 6 2002.your finger printing for I-485 Application to adjust perm.resident status..........blah blah ". we lost hope and here we go......... I didn't even check from last couple of days.
Finally today It changed after 2 years and 2 months.Our 2nd FP done on 20th sep 2003 and it is almost April now.it took more than 6 months after 2nd FP.

I think i shud fax my case to VSC to expedite. :D
