Cashed check -- case number

hi,

I filed my 485/AP/EAD with NSC on July 23rd and on Aug 22nd the check got cashed.
I remember reading on this forum some where that the case number will be written on the back of the cashed check.

I don't see any case number on the back of the check. Can you please clarify?

Me too. I filed i-485 around 7/24/07, my check has been cashed on 8/27/07 already. I see on the back of the check, there is some processing numbers at the right hand side. Beginning LIN0724xxxxxx & LIN0724xxxxxx. You have to check again closely.

Got the receipt number.. doesn't show status online

My checks are cashed and I could see the receipt # on the back of the check. Went to see it online and it says it cannot find that case number. Tried via phone to check the status with same result ? Anyone know whether it takes some time to show up in the online system ?

I have already received the receipt, but I had the same problem when I checked it online. It seems the case is not in the system yet. Is it normal?
