Case with officer.. anybody in similar situation?

TSC IO says 2 weeks back visa number not available.
another TSC IO says case is with officer. Please share if you have similar experience.
 
Question

What is different between "Case is with officer" and "Case is waiting to be assigned to an officer"????
What is the time difference between these two step?:confused:
I called TSC they said "Case is in exam and waiting to be assigned to an officer". Since it is in exam how come there is no officer assigned? Do you think officer will review all our cases and on Oct 1st they will approved all cases or they will start to review after Oct 1st?

I see lot of guys saying "Talked with IO at TSC".
How can one get to them?
Anytime I call National Cust Number and ask to be transferred to someone
who might have access to case, they say that it's not possible
as I had some status updates in last 30 days.
How do I get to an IO? Is there another number to call?
Will appreciate clues :cool:
 
1-800-375-5283
Dial the 800 number and choose:
1 for English
2 to bypass the intro
2 to check status of a pending application
6 to confirm you are trying to check status
1 to confirm that you know your receipt number
1 to confirm that it starts with SRC then enter your receipt number
1 to confirm you entered correct SRC number
3 to continue to next step
4 for something about cases separated or some other crap... this is what gets you somebody at TSC. They'll say: "Texas Service Center, what's the receipt number" and you're in, baby!

My case was a VSC case and now at TSC.
So my receipt # begins with VSC - will I still get transferred to TSC as per
your first set of prompts..
Sorry if I'm asking too much :)
 
No change at all in my case. I reckon that I missed the September flood and I'll have to wait till at least October.

Just called in TSC IO, she told me standard answer "All looks good except visa number, wait until Oct".

We still have one more week of chance...hoping something :)

Yes, you will be transfered to appropriate service center based on your receipt number.

Rav_Oranges, You would be approved by End of Sept as your date is current this month.

I really do hope so... but nothing has happened so far. Still the LUDs show the 8/28.

I've decided I call the second week of October and see what they say.
